"How much is it to hire a vintage bus?""

Accepted Answer

The cost of hiring our buses depends on several factors including distance, location and duration of hire. Weekend dates are more expensive than weekdays so we offer a bespoke quote based on your exact requirements.  Please note passenger numbers (up to the bus capacity) does not affect the hire cost.

"What is included in the price?""

Accepted Answer

All quotes are fully inclusive, covering the hire of the bus, the driver & conductor, fuel and insurance. We also provide complimentary extra's for every hire including one personalised blind and personalised tickets (given out by the conductor). We are happy to decorate the interior of the bus with decorations of your choosing. For weddings we will fit white ribbon and flowers to the exterior of the bus. If you would like additional exterior blinds these are available at £36.00 including VAT per blind (each bus has six blinds in total - we will provide one blind free of charge).

"Can we come and view the buses before we book?""

Accepted Answer

Yes, we know that before you book a vintage bus you want to be sure of the quality and reliability of the vehicles on offer, so we are more than happy for you to arrange an appointment to come view our buses at our depot.

Question 4

"Are there any unsuitable roads or inaccessible venues?""

Accepted Answer

Our buses are 14ft 6ins high and over 8ft wide so we have to be very careful about where we take our buses. In a number of a instances, we will be unable to serve certain venues if there are low tree's or narrow roads preventing access.  Some roads also have low bridges and weight restrictions which can make access to some rural venues impossible.
Please check before booking as we know many venues from previous events.  However, if your event is being held at a venue that we have never visited (and if access looks tricky) we will endeavour to assess the feasbilility of serving the particular venue.

"How many passengers can you carry?""

Accepted Answer

All our buses have a maximum capacity of 72 passengers.

Question 6

"Are young children and babies allowed to travel on the bus?""

Accepted Answer

Yes, small children and babies are more than welcome on the bus, but as all our vehicles were built in the 1960's they do not have seat belts fitted, so please let your friends and relatives know this before they travel.  
Unfortunately, young children and babies cannot travel in their push chairs, they must sit on parents’ laps while the bus is moving.  Depending on the number passengers travelling, our buses can accomdate foldable buggies and pushcairs.

"Where do you operate?""

Accepted Answer

We are based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and typically operate within a 75 mile radius of our depot.  So our main operating area is Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Bedfordshire and London; however, we are happy to provide quotes for events outside this area.

"Do you work at night-time?""

Accepted Answer

We offer late night returns on very specific occasion however our buses are not particularly suited to night-time driving, so we do no regularly offer this option. Please feel free to ask and we will advise accordingly based on the details of your requirement.

Question 9

"What type of events do you do?""

Accepted Answer

You can hire our buses for most events, we typically accept bookings for Weddings, Corporate Events, Family Occasions, School Proms and Film & TV work.  We also provide our vehicles for other events than these. Please get in contact and we can advise accordingly.

"How reliable are the buses?""

Accepted Answer

Our buses have been restored to a very high standard, furthermore, our policy of preventative maintenance at our fully equipped workshop ensures they are very reliable vehicles.  Each bus is subject to a thorough mechanical and safety inspection regime so it is highly unlikely they will let you down.

"Do the buses have heating?""

Accepted Answer

Yes, the buses do have a good heating system, but remember there are no doors just an open platform at the back, so if any members of your party are likely to be cold-sensitive we recommend they occupy seats on the upper deck or at the front of the bus in the lower salon.

Question 12

"Can we bring food and drink on the bus?""

Accepted Answer

We can help with a food/drinks service. Whilst we aren’t licenced to distribute food/drink (or alcohol) we can assist with logistics and serving. You can have food/drink delivered to us and we’ll bring it to your event on the day. We transport drinks in chillers and provide ice to chill drinks. Question 13

"Can we decorate the inside of the bus?"

Accepted Answer

We decorate our buses for every hire. For weddings, each bus is decorated with synthetic flowers, ribbons & bows on the interior and exterior. We can provide ribbons of any colour to suit your colour scheme. 
A few other examples include:
Birthday parties: Bunting, banners and balloons.
Corperate events: company banners, promo adverts, flags etc.
(Please do note that we do not stick anything to the inside or outside of our lovely vintage buses).

Question 14

"Can we have our names on the front of the bus?""

Accepted Answer

We can create bespoke bus destination blinds with any message of your choice. These blinds can be displayed across the front, back or side of the bus. We provide 1 set of Personalised Blinds per hire FREE OF CHARGE. If you would like more, we can provide as many as you'd like for a small additional fee. Each blind is yours after the event as another wonderful keepsake to cherish.

Question 15

"Is there wheelchair access?""

Accepted Answer

Due to their age there are no mechanical wheelchair ramps fitted to our buses, wheelchair users are more than welcome to travel on our vehicles providing assistance is available to help them on and off. Disabled passengers cannot sit in their wheelchair while the bus is moving.
